Businesses in Powys have a fantastic opportunity to receive a free business energy assessment from Severn Wye Energy Agency. This offer is perfect for small businesses looking to save on energy costs and reduce their carbon footprint. The assessment includes a bespoke report and action plan with recommendations on the most efficient ways to save energy.
Additionally, if you choose to implement any of the cost-saving measures suggested, you could be eligible for a grant covering up to 30% of the capital costs. This scheme supports various projects, including windows, insulation, and more—not just large-scale projects like heat pumps or solar panels. It is available until December 2024 and is open to sole traders and partnerships, not just businesses with employees on payroll. There is also funding available for community groups through The EGIN programme, run by DTA Wales and administered by the National Lottery. EGIN provides grants and Peer Mentor support to help community groups take their first steps towards climate action and sustainability.
