MWT Cymru exists to support and champion the tourism sector in Powys, Ceredigion and Meirionnydd – rural regions often overlooked at national level. We promote Mid Wales as a visitor destination, advocate for our members at all levels of government, and provide practical support that helps businesses survive and grow.
What Makes Us Different
We’re independent: No core government funding. Our members fund our work.
We’re not-for-profit: Every penny goes back into the sector.
We’re member-led: Our priorities are shaped by the businesses we support.
We’re region-first: Mid Wales is our home – and always our focus.
What We Do
Destination Marketing via VisitMidWales and ShowMeWales platforms
Business Support via training, toolkits and one-to-one guidance
Policy & Representation on forums, consultations and Senedd groups
Industry Connection via networking events and digital community
We work closely with Visit Wales, Wales Tourism Alliance, local authorities, and other regional networks – but remain fully independent. Our voice is trusted across policy groups, forums and decision-making boards.
