6 Tips for Working with Visit Wales

The following guide outlines six ways in which tourism businesses can work with Visit Wales and make the most of their resources. including:

​Get the most out of your listing/s

If you’re a ‘quality assured business’ (Visit Wales or AA Schemes only), you will automatically receive a listing on visitwales.com. Criteria may apply for attractions, activities and events. 

MWT can provide full support and help to all our MWT members to make the most of your listing.

How do I update my information on visitwales.com, traveltrade.visitwales.com or meetinwales.com?

STEP 1: Log in

Visit Wales have transitioned to a new system from which you’ll be able to manage your product database record on Visit Wales’s product Database portal.
  • This simple online tool is now available for you to update your entry on Visit Wales and for you to see the details they currently hold for your business; please review these to ensure they are accurate. The portal goes live on October 30th 2025.

  • You can access the new portal at: https://extranet-wales.newmindets.net/App/Extranet/Login.aspx

  • Your Username is: [Your email]

  • Please use your Username to reset your password and activate your Extranet account.

  • Once you have logged in, please review and update your details:

    To ensure your business will look its best on Visit Wales, please add:

    * up to 10 new large images in the Images & Videos section and a Youtube video link if you have one
    * social media and booking link.​

STEP 2:   Update details

  • When you have logged into your account, use the menu on the left-hand side to check and update your business details.  
    ​
  • If you have more than one business, for example accommodation and an attraction, you will see a drop-down option on the top left-hand side of your screen where you can select each business in turn. You will need to update details for all businesses on your account.

  • Make sure you complete all sections to ensure you’re giving your business the best chance to engage your potential customers.

​January 2025 saw the launch of the Croeso 25, the next in Visit Wales' series of themed years and the flagship marketing campaign for Wales, Hwyl (the Welsh word for fun) – which will focus on the feelings of fun and joy that you can experience "Only in Wales".

The toolkit for the Year of Croeso is now available, to help stakeholders work closely with Visit Wales once again, as we shout even more loudly to the world about our unique Welsh Croeso (welcome) and celebrate our iconic experiences, products, destinations and culture, that can be found only in Wales; must do experiences that we want to invite visitors to feel, taste and see.
