Moving Adventures is a new initiative aimed at assisting the Tourism Trade in their efforts to attract the Visitor travelling to and around the region on alternative forms of transport to the Car. We believe that holiday travel is more than just a journey from A to B, it is an integral part of any holiday, it is a ‘Moving Adventure’. We want our visitors to ‘Travel Differently, Experience More’. WHY IS THIS IMPORTANT?
This is a growth market, as consumers become more aware of alternative travel domestically and with a reluctance from international travellers to hire cars (Visit Britain research, 2013) we need to be in a position to offer alternative means of travel for our visitor. This is simply about making the most of all the travel options available to our visitor, making sure they are aware of them, whether it be a train, coach or a Great Little Train so that we tip the balance on those hesitant about coming here because they don’t have or simply don’t want to drive to drive. WHY WOULD I GET INVOLVED?
Giving the visitor what they want and meeting their needs is integral to converting an inquiry into a booking. The more information you can provide on your site the more likely a conversion. |
